Title: Quality Designer
Location: Shanghai
Report to: QV Director, Development

We are looking for a passionate Quality Designer to join the EA China QV team in Shanghai. You will combine deep testing expertise and quality leadership to define how you develop quality into our mobile live-service games, applying tooling, automation, data insights, and AI-enabled solutions.

As the voice of quality across the development lifecycle, you will increase early detection, risk-based testing strategies, and continuous improvement— delivering measurable impact on product quality and player experience.

Role Overview

  • Manage end-to-end test plan for mobile game systems, across functional, performance, and compatibility to ensure game quality
  • Represent QV within the dev team—visible, vocal, and integrated—to align on risks and release readiness
  • Improve adoption of automation, diagnostics, workflow improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and defect discovery.
  • Explore and apply AI-driven QA solutions for practical workflow improvements.
  • Share best practices with partner teams to strengthen quality culture and execution consistency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in QA/QV or quality-focused roles (mobile/game industry preferred).
  • Experience across the QA lifecycle, with understanding of SDLC (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall) QA integration.
  • Hands-on experience with automation or advanced testing methodologies.
  • Curious about AI-assisted testing, able to turn experiments into workflow improvements.
  • Bonus: Graphics testing knowledge (rendering pipeline/shaders/GPU bottlenecks); experience with Unreal/Unity and graphics debugging/performance profiling tools.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
