    We are looking for a dedicated Advanced Data Analyst to join our UGX and Player Safety team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Analytics, you will play an important part in meeting the increasing demand for data-driven insights that shape our decision-making processes. Working within an exciting and cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with several teams to deepen engagement and improve retention of our players.

    You will foster relationships and collaborate with several data professionals across the organization and be challenged by complex data systems. Your responsibilities may span diverse projects across UGX, with a focus on improving the UGC search experience through advanced analytics.

    Hybrid or remote work available. Preferably in Vancouver but open to all of Canada.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with Product Managers to analyze the impact of products and solutions within the game and provide applicable recommendations to affect future iterations.
    • Craft KPIs to guide the success strategy for user generated content search experience in game.
    • Analyze performance and effect of ML models on player experience to influence data scientists on future iterations.
    • Profile, clean and analyze data through SQL, R/Python and other database technologies.
    • Identify data quality issues, assess downstream impact and propose practical solutions. 
    • Partner with data engineers, architects and QV to develop ETLs and stored procedures.

    Qualifications

    • A degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Data Science, Business, Mathematics, Economics)
    • 5+ years of experience doing complex quantitative analysis to help guide decisions, in a consumer products-oriented industry (e.g. gaming, entertainment, e-commerce)
    • Advanced knowledge in SQL and relational databases with proficiency analyzing large datasets in programmatic analysis tools (e.g. Python, R)
    • Advanced in dashboard development (i.e. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
    • Experienced with experimental design and applied statistics
    • Practical experience with statistical models
    • Direct experience working with user generated content or search solutions preferred

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

    The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

    PAY RANGES

    * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $107,600 - $147,100 CAD

    Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
