Job Summary:

Join us at Electronic Arts, where you will help shape the technology powering iconic franchises like FIFA, Apex Legends, and The Sims. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Infrastructure, you will work as an individual contributor, guiding our enterprise architecture and collaborating with teams across EA. Responsibilities:

  • You will define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with EA's scalability and security requirements.
  • You will lead architecture for hybrid cloud platforms, increasing adoption of cloud-native patterns such as microservices, APIs, service mesh, and container-based workloads.
  • You will serve as EA's subject matter expert for OpenShift Virtualization and Kubernetes, guiding platform enhancements in operators, networking, storage, and security controls.
  • You will develop and publish engineering patterns, reusable frameworks, and reference implementations, partnering with engineering teams to embed automation-first approaches and security-by-design.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or software engineering, including designing large-scale, distributed cloud-native systems.
  • Experience with OpenShift and enterprise Kubernetes platforms, including defining deployment strategies and platform governance for global-scale environments.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Go, Java, Python, or comparable languages, and deep expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm, GitOps) and CI/CD frameworks.
  • Certifications: RHCA, RHOCP, and Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, CKS), plus experience supporting large-scale consumer or gaming platforms in hybrid cloud environments.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* Ontario *$141,400 - $192,100 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
