As part of the Data and Analytics team, join our Product Engineering team in developing high-scale enterprise products that align with EA strategic goals. You will guide technical direction , design , and set the strategic direction for our engineering groups. You will collaborate with teams, including leadership, architects, engineering, analysts, product management, and data scientists, to understand and address complex data requirements. Reporting to the Director of Data Architecture, you will help shape our engineering landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop comprehensive solutions architecture, and metadata strategies aligned with our goals and success metrics
  • Partner with senior leadership to create a unified vision for UGX analytics across gaming ecosystems
  • Build compelling business cases for architectural that enhance user analytics and content quality
  • Present strategic roadmaps and architectural decisions to executive partners
  • Design scalable data models and taxonomies optimized for gaming analytics and UGC classification
  • Architect high-performance content delivery systems and real-time processing frameworks
  • Create integration standards for third-party services and UGC platforms
  • Lead the development of AI-powered moderation solutions and telemetry systems
  • Ensure seamless interoperability between gaming services, UGC platforms, and moderation tools
  • Establish architectural guidelines and governance processes according to EDGE framework
  • Conduct architecture reviews focusing on scalability, performance, and content safety
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions for features and moderation techniques
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance for critical modeling and UGC analytics implementations
  • Collaborate with gaming industry experts, telemetry specialists, and content platform teams
  • Monitor and evaluate latest trends in gaming technology, UGC platforms, and content moderation
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in user engagement and community management
  • Create compelling presentations on architectural strategy and design decisions

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years focusing on data-intensive applications
  • Expertise in vector databases, graph databases and search engine technologies.
  • Proficiency in distributed systems design and microservices architecture
  • Expert in data modeling, taxonomy development, data indexing and metadata management
  • Understanding of data lakehouse, metadata management designs
  • Experience with search and machine learning deployment in production environments
  • Experience translating requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization technologies
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and semi-structure and unstructured data frameworks
  • Expertise in performance optimization and high-throughput systems

This is an individual contributor role.

Ceci ne s’applique pas au Québec. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $126,000 - $176,300 CAD

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
