Assistant Development Manager Intern (Summer 2025)

We're looking for an Assistant Development Manager Intern like you to join us in our mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to improve ourselves and our craft. You will report to a Development Director.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support our development team which generally consists of Software Engineers, Animators, Artists, and Designers

  • Be the ultimate contact, working across feature development teams to help identify specifications and cross-pod requirements

  • Work with decision makers to provide project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance our needs versus technical constraints, and improve initial partner deployments

  • Identify task-related processes to improve project efficiency, anticipate bottlenecks, and provide management escalation

  • Focus on immediate team and identifies team issues and suggests solutions related to execution goals

  • Ensure each projects setup meets the specifications with Studio and provide regular status reporting and capacity plan updates

  • Ensure all workflow is clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff trained in expectations on the workflow

Role Requirements:

  • You have experience in a software development environment, Project Management, or Project Lead experience

  • You have a working knowledge of production life cycle, project processes, and project planning

  • You have a basic understanding of a Scrum / Agile software development environment

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Suite, Confluence or JIRA 

  • You enjoy collaborating across teams and communicating your vision

  • You have a desire to build, see results, learn, and iterate in an evolving environment

  • You have demonstrated conflict resolution skills and are considerate of multiple perspectives

Must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2025. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2025, slated to graduate no earlier than May 2027. You must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.     • $22 - $35 USD
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs)
    • $22 - $27 CAD
  • Jersey City, NJ
    • $22 - $35 CAD
  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo)
    • $22 - $35 CAD
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane)
    • $22 - $27 CAD

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
