Associate Global Community Manager, Battlefield


This Associate Community Manager will drive the Battlefield experience by supporting and maintaining a diverse community strategy across multiple channels. The role requires developing and executing strategic content plans that highlight community-focused initiatives in the Battlefield universe. This role also plays a role as a liaison between studio and player: engaging with our passionate players day-to-day, providing context to player feedback, and contributing to outgoing communications that players are looking for.

 Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development of and execute on content plans that cater to diverse player interests, ensuring seamless daily execution and coordination with cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally, while delivering audience-relevant feedback to studio, brand, and communications teams.

  • Fully engage with the product to become a subject matter expert, providing valuable context to internal team members and gaining a deep understanding of player needs

  • Implements community-minded communications under the guidance of the Senior Leaders, including the creation of engaging content that strengthens connections between players and the games, as well as with each other.

  • Partner closely with other community managers as well as managers across PR,  Creator, Social, and other internal teams to enhance community engagement, ensure consistent messaging, and deliver flawless execution of the tactics/campaign beats.

  • Produce timely (and actionable) community insight reports and conduct sentiment analysis using player feedback and data to inform key stakeholders.


Requirements 

  • Works with the Senior Leaders to develop approved content plans

  • Adapt existing technologies like Discord to meet player and developer needs, and embrace learning new technologies that drive innovation

  • Assist driving community projects through challenges and ambiguity, effectively delivering on both player and developer needs

  • Partner with territory community management to ensure ensure execution of plans are consistent globally

  • Grow our community voice, developing a shared culture and identity and maintaining a tight dialogue between the studio, EA, and players that keeps all parties informed

  • Build close relationships within global studio teams 

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse groups of players and sub-communities

  • Follow internal guidance to ensure consistent community messaging which uphold quality standards and brand communication best practices

  • Collaborate with fellow EA Community Managers to share best practices, establish standards, and drive innovations across diverse community programs and platforms

  • Contribute to patch note creation, localization, and publishing

  • Develop timely (and actionable) community reports on player feedback, game issues, industry events, and active challenges, with the ability to identify when further escalation is necessary

  • Maintain a positive reputation both at work and within the community while confidently engaging and representing the company across various platforms, including online, video, and in-person at events, with potential hosting and travel for these engagements


Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Community Management or related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated experience and creativity in developing data-driven insights to evaluate and report on the success of initiatives and efforts

  • Passion for gaming and learning player motivations and needs

  • Agile-minded, thriving in a fast-paced environment, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing high-impact work and navigating ambiguity

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage global audiences and collaborate with varied levels of internal teams

  • Experienced in managing interactions with diplomacy and tact; a relationship-builder who is adaptable, independent, and comfortable problem-solving and collaborating in a team environment

  • Proven ability to organize tasks and work well in a team setting

  • Familiar with localization across multiple languages

  • Creative thinking, maintaining focus on objectives while driving unique and thoughtful executions

  • Familiarity with the Battlefield franchise 


Pluses 

  • Project management training, certifications, and experience

  • A passionate gamer with diverse experiences in the FPS genre and its communities

  • Experience with video, podcast, audio, and/or graphic arts production

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $82,500 - $122,900 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
