Our ideal candidate has a track record of successfully building globally recognized brands in organizations that expect nothing less than A+ work. Additionally, this candidate must thrive in a collaborative environment, adapt well to a constantly evolving industry, possess practical knowledge of brand and digital design, and generally carry positive energy that benefits the greater team.

  • Drive and create world-class integrated brand design systems for the The Sims  franchise from the ground up. Design systems include brand images (key art), logos, typography, color, graphic elements, iconography, and motion-based solutions.

  • Partner with studio teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience across in-game (product) and out-of-game (marketing, live services, and beyond).

  • Oversee and participate in the execution of all marketing campaigns and live services content from a brand design POV including digital, motion, experiential, film, retail, social, environmental, and print.

  • Ability to present work and build alignment with senior stakeholders.

  • Inspire, lead, and direct internal designers and oversee the day-to-day work.

  • Brief and direct our external agencies and vendors, keeping large-scale projects on track.

  • Create and maintain The Sims brand style guide, brief internal and external partner teams on these rules, and ensure consistency and quality benchmarks are met in execution.

  • Interpret creative feedback and data into iterative design, as part of a multi-revision process

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of branding experience at a brand or design agency (at least three years of leadership experience, creative director or associate creative director, managing multiple designers).

  • Deep understanding of the comprehensive strategic brand design process, design trends, and best practices.

  • Phenomenal branding/design track record—Proven experience in creating for global brands in digital, print, experiential, and environmental channels with a track record of delivering robust design systems.

  • Possess solid communication skills— must be able to provide clear direction to design teams and to sell through concepts and executions both visually and verbally to individuals at all levels of the company.

  • Ability to work across various brand equities and hierarchies and understand how they’re interconnected.

  • Excellent hands-on design, typography, and layout skills.

  • Experience with game UI design, 3D, motion design, and photoshoot direction are a huge plus.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with fantastic time management skills and a strong work ethic. Capable of juggling multiple projects within tight deadlines.
