As an Associate Environment Artist, you will work with both internal and external teams of the Worlds/Environments domain, to achieve diverse and engaging worlds and gameplay levels for our players. You will collaborate closely with Environment Direction and Stadium Leads, to help develop both the visual and gameplay experiences - according to the goals of each.

This is a 12 month contract to begin with. Our EA SPORTS FC team works hybrid onsite in Vancouver, Tuesday and Wednesday every week. 


Responsibilities:

 * Creating high quality benchmark content, from individual assets to entire levels 

 * Prototyping visuals and R+D projects, to problem solve and devise best practices 

 * Working with Art Directors, Art Leads and Technical Leads, and delivering on their vision and requirements - keeping to schedule

 * Be an active team player in continuing to create and drive world class visual content

 * Participate in group reviews


 Qualifications

 * 2+ years of production experience with asset creation and overseeing entire levels.

 * Expert knowledge of Maya or similar 3D modeling software.

 * High-end asset creation abilities (hard surface, architecture and/or organic assets).

 * Experienced working methodically, from initial grey-block through to final assets, iterating with low-fidelity content to determine the optimal approach, before building final assets.

 * A strong sense of proportion, scene composition, and lighting.

 * Well versed in assessing scope, making recommendations, providing solid estimates, and delivering on time and to quality.

 * Experience working with content-driven game engines (e.g., Unreal, Frostbite, Unity).

 * High fidelity modeling skills, along with ability to paint photorealistic surfaces using industry-standard physically based 3D paint software (ideally Substance Painter).

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $63,400 - $86,500 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
