About Us: Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay.

Who do we work with? You will work closely with the EA Sports FC franchise, specifically on the Quality Council.

About the Role: The Associate Quality Designer position will require you to provide oversight of our experiential quality processes and establish best practices for our analyst family together with our leadership team. You will oversee the entire quality plan for the Quality Council and will report to the Head of Experiential Quality for FC and partner directly with the Producers and/or Designer to agree on the quality and feedback for new features.

🔑Your Responsibilities

Quality Strategy and Test Planning

  • Design, develop, and lead quality processes for assigned features

  • Propose tactical solutions to achieve quality strategy

  • Promote a "player-oriented" approach and help achieve a high-quality experience for the players

Quality and Data Analysis

  • Report high impact or complex issues and provide actionable feedback to improve the quality of the game for players

  • Compile data from multiple sources into summaries

  • Evaluate and adopt the latest and best practices from other teams, departments or the industry

Collaboration and Communication

  • Build partnerships/Collaborate with development, production, and design teams and other partners

  • Provide progress and status updates through reporting and verbal communication, where needed

  • Work with multiple teams to drive features through project milestones

Mentorship and Team Support

  • Mentor and support team members with QA deliverables

  • Support senior team members in the implementation of quality strategies

  • Drive improvements and knowledge sharing across teams

✅ Our Requirements

Experience and Knowledge

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design

  • In-depth knowledge of current generation console testing and software development kits

  • Passionate football (soccer) fan and a dedicated FC player for multiple years.

  • Familiar with common user research methodology

Skills and Abilities

  • Design test strategies and communicate them effectively

  • Passion for creating high-quality player experiences

  • Experience providing feedback with ease, both verbally and written.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$66,100 - $90,400 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
