About Us: Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, delivering important insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and enhance gameplay.


Who do we work with? You will work with the FC QV team.


About the Role: The Associate Quality Designer position will require you to guide quality practices across QV by working with Development, Tech and Production partners. You will report to the QA Development Manager and work with multiple partners to agree on the quality and feedback of new features, ensuring a thoughtful and team-driven approach to delivering a high-quality player first experience.


Quality Strategy and Test Planning

  • Lead quality process for assigned features and create test plans to ensure end-to-end coverage, while identifying risks throughout development

  • Help evolve the team's tools and processes with a focus on expanding capabilities and responsibilities, along with introducing more efficient and accurate practices

  • Promote a "player-oriented" approach by providing qualitative feedback during game testing to identify design and usability issues, contributing to a more enjoyable player experience

Quality and Data Analysis

  • Report high impact bugs and provide relevant feedback to improve game quality

  • Use data analysis to inform test prioritization, tool engagement and QA coverage strategies

  • Support identification of technical solutions and automation opportunities

Collaboration and Communication

  • Build working relationships with members of the development, production and design teams, ensuring understanding, trust and problem solving

  • Represent the QA perspective in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized

  • Work with multiple teams to guide features through project milestones, to ensure successful product delivery.

Mentorship and Team Support

  • Foster a collaborative team environment through mentorship and guidance, ensuring collective success

  • Work with senior team members in the implementation of quality strategies, promoting a culture of quality improvements and teamwork

  • Lead process improvements and promote insights and knowledge sharing across QV to enhance both organizational performance and team growth.


Experience and Knowledge

  • 2+ years of applicable work experience

  • Experience making qualitative and data-driven decisions within a QA environment

  • Understanding of quality assurance processes, workflows, defect and task tracking software

  • Game domain knowledge of football and gaming, with a player first mentality

  • Experience working in an embedded, integrated product team (i.e. Development + QA working as one)

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to design test strategies and communicate them effectively

  • Passion for creating high-quality player experiences

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$66,100 - $90,400 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
