We’re looking for an Associate UX Designer with a strong UX foundation who is ready to grow their impact within a collaborative product design team. You’ll report to the Design & Content Production Director. This role is well-suited for a designer who is comfortable owning feature-level design work, applying established UX strategy and patterns, and supporting senior product designers who are responsible for defining broader experience direction. 

You’ll work across the EA website and internally facing tools, collaborating closely with product managers, producers, engineers, and senior designers. While you’ll be expected to deliver independently within a defined scope, the role includes ongoing mentorship, feedback, and support to help you continue developing your skills and judgment. You’ll design layouts, templates, and assets that scale across global regions and multiple platforms, all while maintaining a strong understanding of UX and UI best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver feature-level UX design work within a defined scope, applying guidance from senior designers

  • Support senior product designers by translating overarching UX strategy and interaction patterns into well-executed feature designs

  • Design experiences for both public-facing web properties and internal tools

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements, explore solutions, and iterate toward implementation

  • Plan and conduct usability testing, synthesize findings, and apply insights to improve designs

  • Perform heuristic evaluations to identify usability issues and opportunities
    Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI designs with a strong emphasis on craft and polish

  • Apply existing design systems and interaction patterns to ensure consistency, quality, and speed

  • Participate actively in design critiques, reviews, and cross-functional discussions

  • Seek feedback, incorporate guidance, and continuously improve your UX and visual design skills

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 3+ years of professional UX design experience, or equivalent experience demonstrating readiness for this level

  • A portfolio that demonstrates:

    • customer-centric approach to problem solving

    • Strong feature-level UX thinking and execution

    • High-quality visual design craft and attention to detail

  • Experience conducting basic usability testing, including planning, facilitation, and synthesis

  • Ability to perform heuristic analysis and apply usability and accessibility principles

  • Comfort collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions clearly

  • self-starter mindset, able to work independently while staying aligned with the team

  • A high visual design bar, with the ability to create work that feels polished, cohesive, and production-ready

  • Experienced managing and scoping projects within quick deadlines

  • Familiarity with web, email, and in-game creative requirements, and comfort using Google Workspace tools.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$83,000 - $116,400 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
