EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Role Overview

EA Create Audio is seeking a Music Specialist to join our Ironman team. Under the guidance of the Audio Director and Music Director, collaborate with core game team partners to craft captivating soundscapes that immerse the players in a rich narrative and elevate the gaming experience. You'll play a key role in shaping the audio experience, from editing and mastering tracks to scripting interactive music logic.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with composers and creative leads to ensure music aligns with the audio direction and technical requirements.
  • Own, edit and implement interactive music playback and tuning in gameplay.
  • Provide quality control for music deliveries and ensure timely submissions.
  • Work on audio post-production for in-game video content.
  • Support sound design and other audio-related areas as needed.
  • Submit mastered game assets on time and maintain quality standards.
  • Participate in scope assessment, prioritization, and planning.
  • Advocate for and design audio pipeline features and workflow processes.


Requirements

 

  • 4-6 years of game audio and/or post-production experience
  • Experience in all phases of music design and production, from editing and design to technical implementation.
  • Solid understanding of music theory (not a composer role).
  • Proficient in game development tools and pipelines (Wwise,Unreal).
  • Proficiency in at least one DAW, with Reaper preferred.
  • Strong sound design and listening skills.
  • Exceptional communication, strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creative and technical thinker.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$75,900 - $105,600 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
