The Role:

As the Brand Design Lead, you'll drive and build long-term brand equity by cultivating a strong and consistent brand identity of our hero brand as we aspire to lead the future of interactive entertainment. You'll collaborate with internal and external partners to define and elevate EA brand's creative expression across multiple touchpoints, spanning digital, print, social, events, film, and both internal and external-facing platforms. You will report to the Creative Director. You will be based in Redwood Shores and work onsite 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • You will build long-term brand equity by promoting a strong and consistent brand identity.
  • You will scale and operationalize the Electronic Arts brand identity and creative across multiple audience touchpoints, from web and print to environmental, social, and video/film assets.
  • You will lead creative projects from concept to execution for a range of company-led activations such as Town Halls, Employee Engagement Campaigns, Impact Report, ERGs, and more. Medium includes print, digital, social, and video/film. 
  • You will proactively concept creative approaches that take briefs to the next level.
  • You will present creative concepts and work with senior partners across multiple departments, aligned with our team goals and outcomes.
  • You will inspire, lead, and direct designers while overseeing daily operations.
  • You will brief and direct contractors, and vendors, ensuring projects stay on budget and on strategy.
  • You will partner across Marketing and Communications teams to maintain the EA brand style guide and its ecosystem of sub-brands, ensuring consistency and quality benchmarks in implementation. 
  • You will lead the development and implementation of enterprise-level design systems and toolkits, including the exploration and integration of latest technologies such as AI-driven design tools.

Requirements:

  • You have 10+ years of branding/design experience as a creative director or design director at a brand or design agency (with some leadership experience).
  • You have understanding of comprehensive brand strategy, brand system, the brand design process, and design trends.
  • You have a track record in creating scalable design systems and activating for global brands in digital, print, experiential, and environmental channels.
  • You have experience creating brand design campaigns from vision to completion.
  • You can navigate through shifting priorities, pivots, and feedback with a solutions-oriented mindset with multiple partners.
  • ·You will cultivate a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Champion open idea sharing and being receptive to leadership input
  • You are a team player who collaborates well and contributes to a positive work environment
  • You have excellent hands-on design, typography, and layout skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • You have experience at an in-house creative or design department
  • You have experience with 3D and motion design is a huge plus.
  • You have experience with video/film principles or techniques.
  • You have a passion for gaming, media and entertainment!


Education:

BS/BFA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or Design Direction. Additional related experience.

Online portfolio required.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $138,200 - $219,000 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
