Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

We're looking for a passionate, strategic, and versatile copywriter to join our growing team and help shape the voice of our EA's gaming subscription service. This role is perfect for a writer who thrives at the intersection of brand storytelling and performance-driven marketing, and who can flex between big-picture voice strategy and hands-on content execution.

As the Brand & Editorial Copywriter, you'll be the steward of our brand's editorial voice—developing how we speak to players across every touchpoint. You'll write clear, engaging copy for everything from brand campaigns and product messaging to news blogs, member emails, social media and in-product experiences. You'll also bring editorial rigor and consistency to our copy production process, ensuring our voice is compelling, and always on brand. The Brand & Editorial Copywriter will report to the Senior Director, EAX Ventures Brand Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the editorial voice for our EA's gaming subscription service across platforms and channels
  • Write compelling marketing copy for campaigns, product pages, CRM (email, push, in-app), social, video scripts, landing pages, and more
  • Partner with brand management, marketing and activation, design, franchise, and CRM teams to bring strategic narratives to life through copy
  • Contribute to messaging frameworks, and value prop storytelling
  • Deliver high-volume, high-quality copywriting for campaigns, and member activations across channels
  • Develop our editorial style guide and messaging playbooks
  • Balance creative flair with performance goals—bringing smart, player-first thinking to every word you write

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting or editorial content strategy, in gaming, entertainment, or subscription services
  • A portfolio that showcases a distinct voice and writing craft across a variety of formats
  • Experience applying brand voice across marketing, product, and editorial touchpoints
  • Comfort switching between brand storytelling and short-form conversion copy
  • Strong organizational and editing skills—able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and proactive with experience with gaming and an understanding of player communities
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, content performance metrics, and lifecycle marketing

Bonus:

  • Experience writing for or within a subscription-based business
  • A love for and understanding of games and the gaming industry
  • Background in journalism, editorial publishing, or brand strategy
