The Employee & Studio Experience (ESE) IT team powers the people and workplace technology that helps EA teams do their best work. The Challenge Ahead

As a Software & Data Engineer on the ESE IT team, you will contribute to the Omni Project—a unified metrics platform that helps us bring together data across ESE to allow data-driven decision-making and measure success at scale. You will help design and implement solutions that provide real-time visibility into employee and studio experience, helping us to identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and effect. Working in a small, agile team, you will influence platform design, technical direction, and data strategies that shape how EA supports its global workforce. Reporting to the Senior Director of Service Management in our Guildford office working in a hybrid model role. 


Responsibilities

  • Design the Omni unified metrics platform across ESE IT.

  • Develop data pipelines and integrations using SQL, APIs, and scripting.

  • Build dashboards and visualisations (e.g., Grafana) to make main metrics accessible and applicable.

  • Collaborate with partners to understand success measures and translate them into scalable data solutions.

  • Ensure platform performance, reliability, and data accuracy to support critical decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance employee and studio experience through data use.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in SQL and database design.

  • Hands-on experience with Grafana or similar visualisation platforms.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or similar).

  • Experience with APIs and system integrations.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Knowledge of data engineering best practices, ETL workflows, and real-time data pipelines.
