CRM Content Writer, EA SPORTS

The future of entertainment is interactive, and our CRM org plays a crucial role in this future by building content, culture, and community around our brands. We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our world-class franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. We’re a multi-functional group with deep expertise in storytelling, community-building, and player-first content strategies that amplify fandom and make games more accessible and engaging.

The Content Writer, EA SPORTS will be responsible for creating high-quality short and long form editorial content to support the EA SPORTS CRM journeys from out-of-game to in-game. Reporting to the Director, CRM Strategy - EA SPORTS, this role will work closely with studio partners, marketing teams, and the EA SPORTS Franchise pods to deliver timely, engaging written content that enhances customer perceived value, fuels retention, and strengthens brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Craft clear, engaging, and on-brand editorial content (e.g. title update explainers, onboarding guides, feature deep-dives, dev spotlights) for EA SPORTS channels (email, web, in-game)

  • Translate complex game systems and updates into player-friendly content that drives comprehension and confidence

  • Partner with developers, producers, marketers, and community leads to uncover stories that bring clarity and value to fans

  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and quality across all written content, aligned with brand and player expectations

  • Manage a fast-paced editorial calendar, coordinating deadlines and approvals across multiple functions

  • Monitor player sentiment and feedback to inform content needs and opportunities

  • Support franchise growth by creating content that boosts engagement, builds trust, and drives retention

Qualifications

Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following:

  • Deep knowledge of EA SPORTS gameplay, systems, and live-service models

  • 3+ years of experience writing editorial content for games, entertainment or (preferably) sports platforms

  • Experience applying SEO practices to improve content discoverability and traffic
