We are looking for an experienced Animator for our cinematic animation department with expertise in creating AAA-quality cinematics, in-game presentation and other narrative driven gameplay. We have a passionate team as well as cutting edge tools that enable creative exploration and would need an experienced animator to take advantage of both. You will report to Cinematic Animation Director.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in animation, ideally working on cinematics and narrative moments in gameplay. The ability to quickly learn our workflows and pipeline in an efficient, self-motivated manner is essential. You will work with motion and performance capture, closely collaborate with game design and narrative in creating memorable narrative moments for our next AAA game.

  • Delivers content that demonstrates an expert understanding of animation principles, applied consistently.
  • Works closely with design to create immersive cinematics with seamless transitions to and from gameplay.

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of mocap data animation and authoring in Motionbuilder and Maya. Experience in multiple-character scenes with facial animation is a plus.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of staging, camera framing and composition.
  • Has experience in mocap shoot preparation and assessing performance during a shoot.
  • Shows a high level of self-motivation in learning new workflows and animation tech.
  • Is not afraid to share their work early and actively seeks out peer feedback.
  • Expert in either Motionbuilder or Maya animation workflows.
  • Experienced in cinematic production.
  • Advanced level of implementation experienced in engines (Unreal, Godot, Unity, etc.)
