Role Overview: Senior Platform Engineer – Infrastructure and Automation
You will report to the Sr. Manager of Engineering, and contribute as a senior individual contributor, serving as a technical lead across our engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
• You will design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across public and private cloud environments.
• Manage Kubernetes-based container platforms, such as EKS and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and product partners to deliver distributed, scalable, and secure platform solutions.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and help raise engineering best practices through peer code reviews.
• Improve platform reliability and scalability by troubleshooting production incidents, performing root cause analysis, reducing technical debt, and optimizing system performance.
• Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to enhance productivity and code quality.
Qualifications
• 4 or more years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure tools (Terraform).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), as well as Bash or Go.
• Experience developing automation and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and security groups.
