***This is a Temporary Full-Time role that will require you to work a Hybrid work model at our Tiburon Studios in Orlando, Florida.***

As a Commentary Quality Designer at EA, you will work with a small team to design and implement industry leading sports commentary for our American Football products. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for American Football, that understands the nuances of sports broadcast commentary. 

Responsibilities

  • Create quality audio for our video games, with a high focus on authentic commentary to support our in-game experiences
  • Own well-defined audio-related tasks & deliverables, with a high focus on content pipelines
  • Design, develop & support feature(s), small project(s) or task(s) within the Speech discipline.
  • Technical implementation, logic and databasing tasks, all catered to the user experience.
  • Quality control and assessment of all commentary
  • Speech editing, naming, cataloging and file organization.
  • Participate in team collaboration but also work independently.
  • Take direction from Audio Leads and other senior audio artists on the project, but still express your creativity and design insight.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of development management tools (Jira, Perforce, Confluence)
  • Deep understanding of commentary audio quality in a video game
  • Excel expert with proficiency with macros
  • Self-motivated individual with a solution-oriented work ethic
  • Team oriented with a strong desire to both learn and teach
  • Strong artistic and creative sensibilities

 

Bonus Skills

  • Deep experience in recording, editing, and processing audio with DAWs 
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Verification
  • Experience with onboarding new team members
  • Extensive knowledge of American football at both college and NFL levels
  • Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, etc
  • Deep experienced in audio implementation with interactive tools
