GLOBAL COMMERCIAL ORGANIZATION (GCO):

Commercial Management function within EA SPORTS operates across several primary functions:

  • Team Ambassadorship - We are the voice to and from the broader Commercial Organization, directly collaborate with Studio, Brand and Finance partners on behalf of Commercial Teams who represent key partners, retailers and players around the world

  • Distribution Execution - While our full game experts ensure EA’s games are available in the right place and the right time at the right price, live service experts drive the content side of our edition planning process to create compelling and exciting offers for our players

  • Revenue Responsibility - We guide how EA SPORTS titles interface with the forecast and planning process, ensuring title-specific forecasts work towards company-wide goals, then supporting teams as they pursue revenue targets

  • Growth Innovation - Both long-term and short-term, we brainstorm, propose and implement Commercial growth drivers. Consult and partner with Studio and Brand teams to unlock immediate, incremental opportunities as well as longer-term roadmaps to Franchise success

  • Strategy Creation - We use all of the above to create the Commercial portion of a product strategy, collaborating with Studio and Brand partners on their strategies to build an integrated, holistic approach


RESPONSIBILITIES:

This senior Individual Contributor role leads the Commercial Management of FC Mobile (FCM), building strong, collaborative relationships to drive growth and positive outcomes. You will be responsible for:

  • Live Service Commercial Management:

    • Drive long-range commercial strategy and commercial performance of FCM, setting commercial goals per region and platform while acting as senior Commercial representation

    • Develop long-term business cases and growth opportunities, bringing innovative ideas to optimize overall product performance.

    • Enhance FCM performance reporting practices to aid decision-making for CFX and Commercial Leadership.

    • Act as a cross-functional leader, guiding partner teams such as Franchise Strategy, Marketing, Studio, and Finance through the Commercial process.

    • Partner with regional market teams to identify and activate growth opportunities to boost Live Service revenue and player engagement.

    • Lead key Commercial processes such as the yearly Commercial Chapter, Quarterly Franchise Meetings, and Weekly Business Reviews. 

    • Guide the quarterly Live Service forecast in collaboration with cross-functional partners, accurately reflecting current and future performance.

  • Commercial Planning and Activation:

    • Own the development of the Commercial Chapter, outlining the annual Commercial and Executional Strategies for FCM.

    • Collaborate with Marketing and Global Operations to develop and manage platform strategies.

    • Provide commercial inputs into regional strategies and investments, ensuring alignment with franchise direction and priorities.

    • Ensure commercial readiness across assets, localization, metadata, and scheduling in partnership with Marketing, Brand, Studio, and Regional teams.

  • 1P and Partner Management:

    • Represent the FCM with first-party platform and store partners (e.g. Apple, Google, regional platforms), ensuring terms, programs, and deliverables align with commercial targets and broader strategy.

    • Identify, assess, and execute licensing and merchandising opportunities to deliver incremental player engagement and revenue for FCM.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Commercial, Publishing, Strategy, or Product Management function, ideally within sports, mobile, or video games.

  • Proven experience managing live service financial performance, with deep understanding of acquisition, engagement, and monetization KPIs across platforms.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, able to synthesize insights from multiple sources into deliverables, including executive business reviews and partner presentations.

  • Natural communicator and storyteller, with the ability to translate complex subjects into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives.

  • Experience developing and delivering high-impact commercial projects and programs that drive acquisition and revenue growth.

  • Experience building and managing complex commercial plans, coordinating across multiple functions and partners.

  • Proven ability to work on a global product with global scope, altitude-switching from strategic, high-level thinking to highly detailed discussions. 

  • Business degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$111,600 - $152,800 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
