EA SPORTS FC Communications & Social Impact Intern


Contract: 12-month Internship

Location: Guildford

The Challenge Ahead


We’re looking for a motivated, purpose-driven Communications & Social Impact Intern to join our Global Communications team on a paid internship. This role is ideal for a university student who is passionate about storytelling, grassroots football, and creating positive social change through sport.


You’ll play a key role in supporting EA SPORTS FC’s global communications efforts and the delivery of FC FUTURES - our long-term community football programme dedicated to growing the game and inspiring the next generation of football talent.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in PR, social impact campaigns, community engagement, and brand storytelling, while contributing to meaningful initiatives that champion diversity, equity and inclusion in sport and gaming.



Responsibilities:


Communications

  • You'll help create press releases, media pitches, and campaign materials for a global audience.

  • Help coordinate communications activity across multiple regions, supporting local teams with assets and messaging.

  • Monitor and track global media coverage, creating reports for internal distribution.

  • Help with media requests, coordinating with agencies and our teams.

  • Assist with media requests, coordinating with agencies and internal teams.


Social Impact and FC FUTURES

  • You'll contribute to the delivery of FC FUTURES activations, supporting grassroots football projects and community partnerships worldwide.

  • Help with storytelling ideas to elevate our efforts and raise awareness of our investment in youth football, diversity, and access to play.

  • Help manage communications with partnerships with charities, federations, and NGOs.

  • Support project coordination for social impact initiatives internationally.


Team Operations & Admin

  • You'll help with presentation development, information gathering, and campaign recaps.

  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling and email monitoring.

  • Help ensure collaboration between Communications, Marketing, and Social Impact teams.

  • Take notes during meetings and support follow-ups to ensure smooth delivery of campaigns.



Eligibility:


  • You are currently studying in the penultimate year of undergraduate study with a planned placement year.

  • You are available to commence a full-time 12 month placement in July 2026.

  • You are eligible to work in the UK without additional visa or relocation support.


Skills:


  • Studying towards a degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.

  • Passionate about DEI, grassroots football, and using sport as a tool for community impact.

  • Interest in football culture, and/or charitable work

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; media monitoring tools or design platforms (Canva, Adobe Suite) are a bonus
