Role Overview

Our flagship title Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is looking for a Concept Artist with experience in game visual development. You will report directly to the project's Lead Concept Artist, and work in cooperation with other members of the art team. You will be an important driver of the concept/illustration asset pipeline while maintaining visual and performance standards. We are looking for that magical combination of artistry and production know-how that a concept artist like you can bring to the table.

Responsibilities:

  • Create concepts for production of in-game art assets, including characters, environments, and props.

  • Create compelling and realistic illustrations based on the Star Wars IP.

  • Create icons for hero abilities, rewards, currency, and in-game resources.

  • Maintain a pre-existing art style while exploring for ways to visually enhance new content.

  • Collaborate with members of the art team through paint-overs, rough sketches, and written/verbal feedback

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience or an equivalent portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating inspiring concept art images at industry standards.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other 2D digital painting tools.

  • Working knowledge of 3D software packages as part of a concept/illustration pipeline.

  • Excellent traditional and digital art skills with a strong understanding of composition, anatomy, color theory, perspective, and lighting.

  • Experience capturing likeness in both facial and body anatomy.

  • Experience working on large IPs such as Star Wars is valuable.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) * $92,600 - $135,600 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
