Capture Artist / Video Editor


As a Capture Artist / Video Editor, you are a high-impact individual contributor responsible for capturing premium gameplay and cinematic moments and editing them into compelling social, sizzle, and promotional content. Operating at an L18–L19 level, you independently own small-to-medium campaign assets from capture through final delivery, while influencing visual quality and storytelling standards across the team.


You are a gameplay specialist with deep knowledge of FC and EA SPORTS culture, paired with strong editorial instincts and an understanding of cinematic camera language. You collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Production, and Development to translate in-game features and live beats into visually dynamic, on-brand video content.


Responsibilities: Gameplay Capture Ownership

  • Capture high-quality gameplay footage for social-first content and live service beats.

  • Interpret creative briefs and independently execute capture strategies that elevate visual storytelling.

  • Problem-solve within evolving builds to achieve creative goals without compromising quality.

  • Maintain organized asset libraries to support efficient editorial workflows.


Video Editing & Promotional Content

  • Independently edit gameplay footage into:

    • Social content (short-form & platform-native)

    • Hype/sizzle reels

    • Live service beat videos

  • Build strong narrative arcs using pacing, music, timing, and sports-style highlight sequencing.

  • Execute clean cuts, transitions, and foundational sound design to enhance impact.

  • Manage multiple deliverables across overlapping campaign timelines with minimal supervision.


Creative & Team Influence

  • Contribute ideas for how gameplay moments can be framed to maximize excitement, authenticity, and shareability.

  • Support Leads in maintaining trackers and aligning on asset priorities.

  • Stay current on sports broadcast trends, social content formats, and evolving digital marketing expectations.


Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in gameplay capture, video editing, or related production role.

  • Strong knowledge of FC, American Football, and sports gaming culture.

  • Ability to independently own projects from brief to final delivery.

  • Solutions-oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Clear, professional communication in cross-functional environments.

  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Experience and Working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop

  • Strong understanding of cinematic composition, sports broadcast pacing, and highlight storytelling.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$66,100 - $90,400 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
