The Corporate Communications Manager, reporting to Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications, will play an important role in managing key initiatives and operations for the Corporate Communications team. This role will help drive strategies and processes for programs across Executive Comms, Awards, Speaking, Enterprise Communications approvals, and Media analysis, aligned to business priorities. This role will also work across the Corporate Communications team to drive PR initiatives, secure high-impact media coverage, support earnings and drive storytelling in the interactive entertainment space.


This role will be instrumental in positioning EA as an industry leader while managing media, speaking engagements, thought leadership, and external messaging.

As a key liaison and partner, you will build strong relationships with top-tier reporters and internal partners to help manage strategic communication efforts across the enterprise. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is skilled at problem-solving and managing PR campaigns while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and company objectives. 


In this role you will:


Communications Initiatives & Operations 

    Help manage and implement strategies and Executive Communications programs that align with business objectives

    Manage awards programs, including submissions, messaging, and positioning

    Oversee speaking opportunities and processes for company leaders, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

    Manage enterprise-wide communications approval processes to maintain consistency and compliance

    Manage team operations for activities like shared product roadmaps, weekly newsletters, announcement reporting, etc.

    Build communications plans aligned to key initiatives

    Experiment with tech and tools to improve teams’ communications and storytelling processes


Media Relations & Owned Content

    Begin building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, podcasters, and influencers across national, trade, and digital outlets

    Contribute to the development of social content, press releases, bylines, speeches, and thought leadership pieces for EA’s executives

    Successfully utilizes data and insights to problem solve, identify creative story opportunities, and bring new ideas to team

    Monitor media landscape and identify proactive and reactive opportunities to drive visibility and protect corporate reputation

    Provide earnings support, including drafting support materials, media monitoring, sentiment analysis and reporter engagement


Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Act as a key liaison between EA’s global communications teams and agency partners to align messaging and PR efforts.

    Proactively partners with teams across technology, corporate functions, SPORTS and Entertainment to support EA communications efforts across a wide range of portfolio items and audiences.


Requirements

    5+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, in-house, or agency, preferably in the gaming or tech industry

    Detail-oriented and operations-driven – experience driving awards and speaking programs

    Experience building media relationships in gaming or technology

    Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences

    Ability to monitor the media landscape and create media analysis reports

    Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment

    Applies learnings and constructive feedback to adjust and try for new outcomes 


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $103,200 - $145,600 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
