Corporate Development (M&A), Senior Associate 

Redwood City, CA - Hybrid

Join EA's Corporate Development team where original ideas and contribution are highly valued.

We're looking for a dynamic, outstanding Senior Associate to join our Corporate Development team in the Bay Area. EA's Corporate Development team is responsible for the origination, evaluation, and execution of M&A and strategic initiatives globally across EA. The group partners with the company's executive management, studio, and business leaders to: (i) identify growth opportunities for EA (ii) source and evaluate strategic projects to capitalize upon these opportunities and create shareholder value and (iii) manage the transaction execution and integration process. You will report to the VP of Corporate Development and work in a hybrid work model. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

·       You will contribute to the evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities and strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships

·     You will prepare complex financial models supporting transaction evaluation and execution

·     You will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis supporting business case development

·      You will synthesize and summarize complex opportunities through the lens of EA's business priorities

·     You will develop presentations for business leaders, executive management, and EA's board of directors

·   You will monitor and assess market trends in the gaming, entertainment, and related sectors

·       Foster and sustain connections with key industry partners

Experience & Skills

·       Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.

·       2+ years of work experience at an investment bank (preferably in an M&A group), private equity firm, or in corporate development

·       M&A transaction experience in gaming, technology, or entertainment sectors

·       Experience with M&A financial analysis

·       Strong financial modeling skills using Excel

·       Business sense and ability to understand complex business issues

·       Ability to interact across all levels within and outside the company

·       A strong personal interest in video games and the business of games

Other Qualifications

·       Collect and digest large amounts of information quickly

·       Ability to work in a dynamic environment and navigate uncertainty effectively

·       Motivated and intellectually curious

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $103,200 - $145,600 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
