Data Analyst - FC Modes & Features

Our FC Data & Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst to support our Modes & Features group, with an increased focus on Game Health and PC Performance. Reporting to a Senior Manager, you'll be part of a growing group working with the franchise's production and technical teams. We're looking for someone with experience analyzing business and player impacts in a live service environment, building dashboards, and driving insights from complex, multi-source datasets for early detection and reporting. You'll act as a data investigator, explorer, visualizer, and designer, helping to improve both core gameplay experiences and platform-specific performance. Examples of projects you may work on include: investigating live incidents and performance issues to understand their impacts and identify their root causes, preparing scripts to analyze high volume, second-level data, and summarizing findings, exploring data quality issues to ensure we're accurately capturing data on our live service health, and helping teams evaluate and prioritize feature improvements through data-driven insights.

What you'll do on our team:

  • Analyze and monitor game health metrics to improve player connection quality and overall gameplay experience as outlined here, including online connectivity, latency, error rates, matchmaking quality, and client-server interactions.

  • Write and maintain complex SQL and scripting workflows to extract, transform, and validate large-scale telemetry data.

  • Build and maintain technical dashboards and reports that enable our team and our partners to identify trends in our data on system health and operational performance.

  • Explore user behavior patterns to identify opportunities to improve the player experience.

  • Develop insights to help our partners make informed decisions about FC's live operations.

  • Present analyses and findings to our partners in a clear and understandable way.

What we're looking for:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical analytics role performing quantitative analysis with big data to help guide decisions.

  • Experience in SQL and ability to extract data from large data sources with differing structures.

  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).

  • Proficiency in programmatic analytic tools (e.g. Python, R), with experience writing scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis of large datasets.

  • Experience as a PC enthusiast, with an interest in how hardware and performance impact gameplay experience, is a plus.
