As a Data Architect on the Adrenaline team, you'll design and implement data architectures for the Battlefield franchise, collaborating with technology partners and various game teams. You'll provide expert data architecture and design to Battlefield analytics leadership and teams.

Reporting to the Manager of Data Architecture, your role will include:

What you will do:

  • Work with Business and technical partners to translate use cases and associated data models into data solutions and bring them to completion in partnership with data engineering and product management .
  • Design and implement a data architecture applying open table formats like Iceberg, ensuring metadata management and cataloguing for efficient data discovery and governance
  • Develop conceptual, logical, physical, and transformational data models including appropriate models to support analytics solutions and insights
  • Collaborate with teams to implement event-driven architectures and domain-driven design principles for real-time data processing and high scale data products.
  • Design distributed workflows and pipelines for seamless real-time data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
  • Contribute to target state for data architecture components towards Data Lakehouse and Data/AI products design.
  • Develop data standards in partnership with Governance Team such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards and transformation rules.
  • Design data contracts to ensure data integrity and consistency across domains in a Data Mesh environment with Software Engineering team.
  • Ensure completion of tasks, milestones, and components, including functional specifications, design specifications, and project reviews
  • Conduct requirements mapping, vendor evaluations, technical proof-of-concept projects, use cases and test cases.
  • Document design methodologies, frameworks, principles, and standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in CS/Statistics/Math or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of work experience with enterprise data warehousing, data management, business intelligence and large-scale data solutions
  • Excellent SQL or Python skills
  • Knowledge with YAML Data modelling
  • Experience in system cataloguing, metadata management, and Reference Data,
  • Familiarity with Big Data and Data Analytics Stack.
  • Experience with columnar databases, MPP databases (i.e. Snowflake, Google Cloud, Azure , AWS)
  • Understanding of Taxonomies and Ontologies
  • Knowledge or Experience in Data mesh and Data Lakehouse Designs.
  • knowledge of data privacy practices and laws (internationally)
  • Experience presenting to business and technical teams including executive management
  • This is a non-managerial role.

Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $107,600 - $147,100 CAD

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
