The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more.

As a Data Engineer II, you will support data and metrics for titles such as Madden, College Football, NHL and UFC. You will collaborate with Game, Analytics and Product teams to implement data strategies and develop complex ETL pipelines that support dashboards for promoting deeper understanding of our games. 

You will report to a Technical Director.


Responsibilities:

  • You will gather requirements, model and design solutions to support product analytics, business analytics and data science teams.

  • You will design and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines using cloud-native and open-source technologies.

  • You will develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes

  • You will support production code to produce comprehensive and accurate datasets.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a data engineering role

  • Proficiency writing SQL queries

  • Knowledge of cloud-based databases like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or other big data solutions

  • Experience in data modeling and tools such as dbt, ETL processes, and data warehousing

  • Experience with programming languages including Python, Java

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Docker, Terraform, and CloudFormation).

  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or Power BI)


Bonus:


  • Gaming industry experience 

  • Experience with big data technologies such as EMR, Databricks, Kafka, Spark, or Iceberg

  • Experience with AI/ML platforms or supporting AI-driven analytics


This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
