Data Engineer


 
Location: EA, Hyderabad

We are the Electronic Arts' Marketing and Commercial Organisation (MCO). Our teams build meaningful relationships with hundreds of millions of players around the world who love our games. Our teams develop the strategic vision of our products, run outstanding multi-channel campaigns, build global engagement across all touch points, develop global insights, and propel sales and global publishing.  As part of the Commercial Intelligence team, you will lead the end-to-end management of internal and external data sets that are crucial assets for our Analytics and Data Science team members. You will lead the design and development of our data models that power our dashboards and reports, and work in partnership with our central teams to keep us connected to new sources of data. You will report to the Head of Asia & Emerging Mobile Markets Commercial Intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Data Engineer, you will be involved in the entire development life cycle, from brainstorming ideas to implementing elegant solutions to find data insights.
  • You will gather requirements, model, and design solutions to support reporting analytics and exploratory analysis.
  • You will design efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data.
  • You will work with analysts, understand requirements, and develop technical specifications for ETLs, including documentation.
  • You will support analytical processes, including data table/schemas creation, ETL monitoring, query testing, dashboard creation, and reports generation.
  • You will oversee the use of new technologies and applications we use to integrate solutions.
  • You will promote strategies to improve our data modeling, quality, and architecture.
  • You will participate in every step of the development life cycle, including collecting requirements, design, testing of data products, and iteration based on user feedback.

Qualification:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in a data engineering role with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and knowledge of cloud-based databases like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or other big data solutions.
  • Your experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing help us to achieve more.
  • Experience with at least one programming language like Python or Java
  • Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture for relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Knowledge of the latest data pipeline tools such as Airflow.
  • Help us in developing APIs and integrating with 3rd party APIs
