A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

The Challenge

Electronic Arts (EA) creates world-class experiences for millions of players around the globe. Within the Experiences Org, the Fan Intelligence team helps Fan Care (customer service) and Marketing teams make smarter decisions through trusted data and insights. We are looking for an early-career Data Governance specialist to join our Information Architecture (IA) team. In this role, you’ll help improve how teams define, manage, and use data across the organization. You’ll partner with analysts, business stakeholders, and data teams to support data quality initiatives, organize key business metrics, and make data easier to discover and understand. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong analytical foundation who wants to grow their career at the intersection of data, operations, and business strategy.

The Role

Your primary mission is to partner with Fan Care stakeholders to coordinate the Data Quality Forum (DQF). Working with cross-functional analysts and business owners, you will apply the knowledge you gain to understand underlying business needs, ensuring that our measurement frameworks remain lean and effective while preventing unnecessary metric complexity. You will act as a horizontal connector, leveraging your collaboration and networking skills to bridge the gap between data consumers and product development teams.

In this role, you’ll support data governance and data quality initiatives for Fan Care. You’ll help coordinate discussions around business metrics, document key data definitions, and partner with teams to improve trust in the data used for decision-making. You’ll work closely with analysts, business partners, and technical teams to understand how data is used across the organization and help ensure it remains accurate, consistent, and easy to access. You’ll also gain exposure to enterprise data governance practices, measurement frameworks, metadata management, and cross-functional program operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Data Quality Forum (DQF), including meeting preparation, documentation, stakeholder follow-ups, and tracking action items.

  • Metric & KPI Management: Review proposed metrics and business definitions to help maintain consistency across reporting and dashboards.

  • Data Documentation: Maintain and improve documentation in tools like Alation to help teams easily find trusted datasets, KPIs, and business definitions.

  • Project Coordination: Track requests and updates across teams to help ensure data-related initiatives move efficiently from intake to implementation.

  • Standardization & Alignment: Work with the Technical Program Manager, Data Governance to create and maintain program standards. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and define shared business terms, rules, and critical data elements.

  • Data Quality Advocacy: Implement standards and report issues to ensure they are prioritized.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, data operations, or data governance

  • Internship, academic project, or co-op experience working with data is welcome

  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to explain data concepts clearly

  • Curiosity and interest in improving data quality, consistency, and usability

Nice to Have
