Development Director

EA Mobile is looking for a Development Director with experience in mobile live services. Reporting to the Senior Development Director, you will own the planning and execution of programs across our portfolio of mobile titles, both live and in development. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure game teams and partner teams have access to the right technologies, services and processes to deliver great games for our players and grow our business.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute projects and programs across a portfolio of mobile titles, both live and in development.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive project and program plans by partnering with delivery teams and key stakeholders, and drive execution through to completion.

  • Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on program commitments, milestones, and release goals.

  • Manage team backlogs, capacity planning, and prioritization to ensure predictable delivery.

  • Provide clear, regular status reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies.

  • Develop and maintain program and project KPIs to track quality, delivery, and predictability.

  • Articulate the quantitative and qualitative impact of projects and programs, including revenue impact, cost savings, efficiency gains, and player or business outcomes, to support prioritization and decision-making.

  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks across assigned scope.

  • Enable teams to improve delivery efficiency and predictability through strong planning, clear goals, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and evolve processes that allow teams to produce high-quality work on time and within budget.

  • Support a global program across multiple time zones, collaborating effectively with distributed teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience applying project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) in software development environments.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering Live Services for mobile or online products.

  • Strong proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite, or equivalent tools.

  • Experience driving change, scaling delivery practices, and evolving workflows in complex environments.

  • Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships across diverse teams and disciplines.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to set clear expectations and guide teams through change.

  • Experience assessing and communicating return on investment (ROI) for initiatives, including both financial outcomes and qualitative benefits.
