The Role

Reporting to a Development Director, the team is searching for a Development Manager (Project Manager) to join the FC Live Platform Engineering team. Development Managers are the keepers of the project schedule and play an important role in successfully moving the team from one project phase to the next while ensuring a focus on quality, collaboration and communication. 

Composed of engineers from a variety of disciplines, the FC Live Platform Engineering team is a technical team, primarily responsible for delivering updates to FC Live titles. This team works onsite in Vancouver 3 days/week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing on project planning and management, project reporting, and project risk management for the EA SPORTS FC Live Platform Engineering team.

  • Work with Development Directors to implement processes and practices that allow the team to produce high quality work efficiently, on time and on budget.

  • Support the team in executing against milestones and key deliverables.

  • Identifies and drives effective, measurable process improvements to support the team's delivery and execution.

  • Suggest and implement operational changes to enable effective and motivated teams. 

  • Solve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions to achieve results.

  • Keep the team and partners’ teams informed on development results, schedule, and changes.

  • Manage a team of engineering direct reports, playing a critical role in supporting them in their career development and growth. 


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.

  • Detail oriented, organized and focused on quality

  • Excellent people manager skills, with a demonstrable track record of supporting direct reports in their professional development. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with different organizational levels, as well as ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.

  • Ability to rationalize decisions in a clear and objective manner


Bonus

  • Scrum Master or Agile Coach experience

  • Experience working as a software engineer

  • Experience with distributed development across multiple locations

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications

  • Game development experience


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
