The Challenge

As a Development Manager at EA, you will step into a high impact leadership role within the Sonar Live team. You will be the driving force behind quality verification for some of our most critical functions, including Advertising Technology, Mobile, and Skate franchise.

This role is essential for safeguarding ad verifications and ensuring legal compliance across every title EA publishes. You will lead a dedicated distributed team to deliver reliable releases with consistent quality across all platforms, ensuring that our external partnerships remain strong and our internal talent remains supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of quality designers, fostering a culture of high performance, empathy, and continuous development.
  • Project Management: Oversee the Sonar Live portfolio, ensuring alignment with FY27 release demands and future development goals for mobile and HD titles.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead quality verification workflows, SDK implementations, and cross platform continuous quality practices.
  • Compliance & Risk: Safeguard ad verifications and ensure all titles meet rigorous legal, accessibility, and localization standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a critical bridge between internal development teams and external partners across the EU, China, India, and North America.
  • Performance Tracking: Use metrics such as code coverage and defect density to optimize performance and scalability.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience in Live QV, advertising technology (AdTech), and SDK implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of QA workflows and industry standard tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Familiarity with cross platform continuous quality practices and performance profiling techniques.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and security aware development practices.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • People Management: Experience coaching, mentoring, and resolving conflicts within a technical team.
  • Communication: Ability to present complex technical data clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and revenue protection.
  • Global Collaboration: Comfortable working across multiple time zones to maintain seamless partnership integrity.

Why Join This Team?

The Sonar team is at the heart of EA’s live services. By taking on this 12-month contract, you will be protecting the integrity of high profile franchises like Skate and ensuring the stability of our global advertising revenue streams.
