Director, Game Product Management

As FC Live’s Director of Game Product Management, you will report to the Line Producer for the FC Live Experience Curation team. This is a leadership position, overseeing one of the industry's biggest annual live services. You will interface directly with Producers, Game Designers and internal stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial and Marketing teams to further the growth of EA SPORTS FC’s live service. Each day you will collaborate with partner teams to optimize features and create content in the live service for FC in order to achieve business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the top-level live service performance of EA’s largest live service

  • Be an example of the Game Product Management discipline at its best, for practitioners in your team to emulate and for partners to utilize

  • Manage and develop a group of Game Product Managers, creating an environment where their expertise grows and their impact is visible

  • Support the team in creating the yearly iteration of the live service content plan, a mix of world-class content design, campaign releases and optimized economic pace

  • Identify which KPIs and opportunities are targeted to ensure FC is set up to succeed

  • Build relationships with your game leadership team, Commercial, Analytics and Finance partners to establish trust and credibility 

  • Oversee the partnerships and processes that produce a data-informed and dynamic live service financial forecast 

  • Partner with live operations and engineering teams to evaluate cross-functional opportunities in the product

  • Identify and utilize industry best practices for competitive research, player behaviour optimisation, merchandising, and live feature implementation


Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in related role(s) (product management, game development, system design or live operations) with at 5+ in a product management / production role, with multiple years managing people

  • Experience driving performance metrics across teams

  • Experienced with data-led decision-making and designing experimentation

  • Drives impact through influence and strategic relationship-building

  • Must love creating fun, compelling, and engaging user experiences

  • Demonstrate scientific method experience testing qualitative hypotheses with quantitative data

  • Experience dissecting and analysing games, systems, and features, and core game loops

  • Comfortable creating and delivering presentations for an executive audience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics / Marketing / Business preferred

Bonuses.

  • Forecasting experience, with experience partnering with finance professionals and presenting at the executive level

  • Experience in game development

  • A football fan 

  • A good understanding of the core mechanics of EA SPORTS FC and its live features

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$157,100 - $216,800 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
