The Challenge Ahead:

This role is a 15 month assignment. You will report to the VP, People Experience for EA SPORTS, guiding talent strategy and the People Experience roadmap working with select teams and leaders within our largest sport franchise, FC. While your direct reporting line is to the VP EA Sports, you will partner closely with the Senior Director of PE for FC, on both overall strategy and day to day operations. You will coach, advise and partner with leaders to build their leadership capability, achieve business strategy and develop talent. You will take leadership roles on EA-wide and SPORTS wide Talent Strategy & people programs. We support hybrid work, and you will work a minimum of 3 days a week in our EA Vancouver office.

As a FC PE Business Partner,

  • You will operate as a business leader, who is commercially minded and builder of HR solutions based on business strategy.
  • You will partner with HR COE's (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Development and Organizational Effectiveness teams) to develop and facilitate strategic solutions from hiring through restructuring and career progression.
  • You will lead change programs and coach leaders to manage change within their teams, organizations.
  • You will manage talent planning processes, assess performance & potential, and identify successors for critical roles, promoting talent attraction, retention, and development.
  • You will apply reward principles to develop strategies, analyze market and internal data for compensation decisions, and implement recognition programs.
  • You will deliver the performance and compensation lifecycle, aligning with reward philosophy, and integrate diverse reward elements to increase engagement.
  • You will identify main metrics to assess organizational health, educate on headcount planning, and consult on workforce planning.
  • You will foster EA culture, improve programs and training, and manage employee relations to create a cohesive workplace


  • The next great PE Business Partner of EA sports, needs to have:
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in a relevant field plus 10 or more years of progressive success as a senior strategic HR business partner/manager. 
  • Experience implementing large-scale HR programs
  • Business Partnering experience with demonstrated mastery in organizational design, change leadership, and overall talent management.
  • Experience with compensation and benefits strategies, experience managing compensation programs, annual salary and bonus reviews and equity planning processes in large international organizations.
  • Data analytic capabilities to utilize diverse employee data sources, such as engagement surveys, headcount progression, budget and compensation metrics and produce insight that inform strategic and workforce decisions.
  • Experience with local employment law, coupled with the ability to gain a high-level understanding of territorial employment customs and practices working with EA's worldwide HR team.
  • Excellent at building relationships with business leaders, partners and PE community.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $151,800 - $208,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
