Join us at Electronic Arts (EA), where you will lead engineering teams building scalable, AI-enabled solutions that power modern employee experiences across the enterprise. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will drive engineering strategy and execution across a portfolio of products and platforms focused on improving employee productivity, enabling intelligent workflows, and transforming how teams operate through Agentic AI and SaaS-based AI capabilities.

This role will focus on delivering seamless, secure, and intelligent employee experiences by leveraging modern platforms, integrating best-in-class SaaS solutions, and building extensible systems that enhance collaboration, automation, and decision-making. You will lead efforts to evaluate, integrate, and optimize external vendor platforms while strengthening internal capabilities to ensure long-term scalability and flexibility.

This role requires a leader with strong technical depth, operational rigor, and business alignment who can guide distributed teams in delivering reliable, scalable solutions. You will shape the future of work at EA by promoting innovation, advancing AI-driven capabilities, and partnering closely across engineering, IT, security, procurement, and business teams to deliver impactful, enterprise-grade platforms that empower employees worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead distributed engineering teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions that enhance employee experience and productivity across the enterprise.
  • Define and execute engineering strategy for Employee Experience platforms, balancing build vs. buy decisions, and optimizing the use of SaaS and AI-powered vendor solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of Agentic AI capabilities to enable intelligent automation, proactive workflows, and personalized employee support experiences.
  • Integrate and operationalize SaaS AI platforms (e.g., productivity, collaboration, service management) to deliver cohesive and seamless employee journeys.
  • Establish strong vendor management practices, including evaluation, onboarding, integration, performance monitoring, cost optimization, and risk management for external service partners.
  • Guide the technical direction for internal platforms and integrations, ensuring systems are modern, secure, compliant, and scalable across global teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including  Security,Studios , across IT and business units to align engineering initiatives with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and evolve shared capabilities that unify employee experiences across tools, workflows, and platforms, reducing fragmentation and improving efficiency.
  • Establish effective operating models with clear ownership, strong communication, and accountability across distributed teams and vendor ecosystems.
  • Improve engineering effectiveness through modern development practices, platform thinking, and practical adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle.
  • Use metrics and insights to continuously improve delivery performance, system reliability, vendor effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and overall business impact.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow managers and engineers while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including leadership roles with responsibility for scaling teams and organizations in enterprise or platform environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade platforms, including integration of SaaS solutions and vendor-managed systems.
  • Experience leading distributed teams and working with external vendors and partners in a global operating model.
  • Strong technical background in architecting and operating scalable systems using modern technologies (e.g., Java, cloud platforms, APIs, integration frameworks).
  • Practical experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI systems, including applying AI to improve employee workflows, automation, or productivity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise concerns including security, compliance and identity management.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
