This is a hybrid role based in our UK, Guildford site.

The Global Communications Assistant is a visible communications role that helps connect our football franchises, EA SPORTS FC, EA SPORTS Madden NFL and EA SPORTS College Football with players across our International markets. You will support the team with managing and briefing regional PR agencies, activating earned media strategies, producing media coverage reports and dealing with in-bound media requests. You will help to communicate the roll-out of strategy and how it can be effective across International markets to ensure product campaigns are global. You will advocate the interests, needs and diverse sensibilities of our international audience, ensuring that they are reflected in our campaign execution.

You will report directly to the Global Communications Manager and will collaborate with teams around the business, partnering with local marketing teams and external PR agencies. You will support the success of our product communications whilst working following our corporate communications strategy. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • You will work across EA SPORTS leading football franchises: EA SPORTS FC, EA SPORTS Madden NFL and EA SPORTS College Football

  • Support Global Communications manager in delivering global PR strategy for main campaign beats

  • Coordinate PR activity across 11+ markets, supporting regional teams with press releases, campaign activations and media pitching

  • Monitor and facilitate inbound media email requests outside of the planned story cadence, ensuring there is a clear and established contact for regional agencies 

  • Work with media tracking tools to create local and national media coverage reports, identifying trends and informing wider team on data

  • Support the Global Communications Manager with administrative tasks including recording meeting notes, email monitoring, creating project presentations, information gathering and formatting company wide updates

Qualifications:

  • This role would be well-suited to a candidate with 1-2 years of comms/PR experience.

  • Experience with media relations and communications, with a finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends.

  • You will have experience with email communications in a corporate environment

  • You will have have experienced or have exposure to presentation creation

  • General Administrative experience, including experience with Google or Microsoft software

  • You will have experience being a process-minded planner who can determine deadlines, logistics and support with operational tasks.
