About Us: Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimise software performance and elevate gameplay.


Who do we work with? You will work closely with EAX’s “In-Game Experiences” team. 


This team is responsible for EA Connect, our in-game social overlay facilitating cross-platform party, voip, quick messaging and game invites. EA Connect is used in most EA Sports titles and Battlefield 6. The team is also responsible for the standalone EA Connect mobile app.  


About the Role: The Associate Quality Designer position will require you to provide oversight of our quality processes and establish best practices for our analyst family, together with our leadership team. You will oversee the entire quality plan and and to agree on quality and feedback for new features.


Your Responsibilities

Quality Strategy and Test Planning

  • Leverage testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share results

  • Identify risks and plan testing for releases

  • Create, build, and manage test plans


Quality and Data Analysis

  • Report high-impact or complex bugs and provide actionable feedback to improve the quality of the game for players

  • Evaluate and adopt the latest and best practices from other teams, departments or the industry

Collaboration and Communication

  • Build partnerships/Collaborate with development, production, and design teams and other partners

  • Provide progress and status updates through reporting and verbal communication, where needed

  • Represent the QA perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritised

Mentorship and Team Support

  • Support senior team members in the implementation of quality strategies

  • Drive improvements and knowledge sharing across teams



 Our Requirements 

Experience and Knowledge

  • Understanding of quality assurance processes, workflows, and defect and task tracking software

  • In-depth knowledge of current generation consoles and mobile devices. 

  • Experience of testing on development kits will be a bonus 


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to design test strategies and communicate them effectively

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills


Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days a week in our Galway office.
