FC Franchise Activation Internship - Social Impact and First Party 


Contract: Temporary Full-Time - 12 months

This is a fantastic opportunity, to join an award-winning internship and to gain hands-on experience with the world-leading global interactive entertainment software company. Reporting to the Social Impact and First Party Activation Lead, you will help develop and activate outstanding marketing campaigns across the EA SPORTS FC franchise and important partnerships. You will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a point of view on all things relating to marketing and communications and be prepared to step up as an important contributor to the success of the team.

 

When we launched EA SPORTS FC in 2023, we developed a Social Impact strategy to meaningfully invest in projects that make a difference to the lives of players, fans and communities around the world. We recognise the unique responsibility and opportunity we have as a brand to drive positive change through football, covering five focus areas of investment: Grassroots and Education (our ‘FC FUTURES’ programme), Anti-Racism, Gender Equality, Pride and Player Wellness. You will help shape the strategy and output of our Social Impact projects, and contribute to creating value for the enterprise by strengthening EA SPORT FC as a brand. 

 

Campaigns with our First Party partners, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Steam, are crucial to unlock incremental value and growth for the franchise. This role will also be responsible for campaign planning and execution supporting these partners, around key FC marketing beats, including Launch, Holiday, Team of the Year and more. 

Responsibilities:

Planning

  • You will support the Social Impact and First Party Lead in the coordination and planning of the strategy, campaigns and activations  
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions as an equal member of the team

 

Execution

  • You will help activate marketing, community and comms/PR plans across Social Impact and First Party campaigns 
  • Support EA's Social Impact partnerships across Europe, North America, APAC and LATAM
  • Support EA’s First Party partnerships across Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Steam
  • Assist with asset coordination ensuring assets are delivered on time and to quality
  • Assist with specific and ad-hoc projects/events e.g. FC FUTURES pitch openings, shoots, conferences etc.

 

Communications

  • You will attend Social Impact and First Party activation meetings, bringing fresh ideas and perspective
  • Coordinate internal meetings, taking notes and support on actions

 

Operations & Reporting

  • You will raise and receipt Purchase Orders with a focus on cost control
  • Work with EA's agencies and partners on campaign performance tracking

 

Qualifications:

  • You are studying in the penultimate year of an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree programme
  • You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2025.
  • You are eligible to work in Guildford (UK) without the need for visa/relocation support

  • Passion, interest and knowledge of the video gaming and entertainment industry
  • Passion for creating positive change with and for communities, and a genuine interest in social and DEI issues
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills
  • Enthusiasm, organisation and drive to manage dynamic workload and deadlines
