EA SPORTS FC Franchise Activation Intern


Contract: 12-month Internship

Location: Guildford, UK

The Challenge Ahead


The future of entertainment is interactive, and our Marketing team plays an important role in this future by building content, culture, and community around our brands. We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our amazing franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. We’re a multi-functional group with world-class expertise in building fandoms, driving interactive storytelling, and positioning our franchises at the center of the broader sports and entertainment ecosystem.


Reporting to the Franchise Campaign team, you will help develop and activate outstanding marketing campaigns across the EA SPORTS FC franchise and important partnerships. You will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a point of view on all things relating to marketing and 

communications and be prepared to step up as an important contributor to the success of the team.


Responsibilities:


Planning:

  • You will support Campaign Managers in the coordination and planning of our Go-To-Market plans

  • You will contribute to brainstorming sessions as an equal member of the team

  • You will invest in understanding the UK gaming market and its trends


Execution:

  • You will help activate marketing, community and comms/PR plans across departments surrounding game launches and live service campaign beats

  • You will support EA's partnerships within the UK

  • You will assist the marketing teams with asset coordination ensuring assets are delivered on time and to quality

  • You will assist the Marcom team with specific and ad-hoc projects/events e.g. press showcase, preview/review events, producer tours, conferences etc.

  • You will review and approve eCRM before being distributed to our network of players


Communications:

  • You will attend UKI marketing meetings, bringing fresh ideas and perspective

  • You will coordinate internal meetings, taking notes and support on actions


Operations:

  • You will raise and receipt Purchase Orders with a focus on cost control

  • You will track and coordinate game stock and merchandise requests

  • You will work with EA's agencies on campaign performance tracking and Reporting


Eligibility:


  • You are currently studying in the penultimate year of undergraduate study with a planned placement year.

  • You are available to commence a full-time 12 month placement in July 2026.

  • You are eligible to work in the UK without additional visa or relocation support.


Skills:


  • Passion, interest and knowledge of the video gaming and entertainment industry

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Photoshop

  • Understand the UK media landscape with an interest in social media

  • Enthusiasm, organisation and drive to manage dynamic workload and deadlines

  • A team player, able to handle pressure and calmly navigate around issues
