The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more. We're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to lead the technical vision for our new in-game advertising platform. You will lead a team of frontend and full-stack engineers, building web applications that simplify complex workflows for our game studios and ad operations teams.
You will report to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- You will define frontend architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- You will write clean, high-quality code and implement React SSR applications and micro frontends.
- You will work with product, design, and backend teams to turn complex requirements into intuitive user interfaces.
- You will oversee the application's performance, reliability, and code quality.
- You will resolve performance bottlenecks using web profiling frameworks like Chrome Lighthouse.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of frontend engineering experience
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5
- Experience building and scaling complex SPAs, especially with micro-frontends, and UMD / ESM bundlers
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries like Ant Design, Material UI
- Experience with state management (e.g., Redux), build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack), and testing (e.g., Jest)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or tRPC
Bonus:
- Experience with data visualization (D3.js)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of the digital advertising industry
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
