Summary

The Full Stack Software Engineer - ML Cloud Applications designs, develops, and maintains fast, scalable, cloud-based applications that take full advantage of existing ML/Generative AI technologies. This includes building full-stack AI-driven solutions and automation pipelines that accelerate product development cycles and enable rapid experimentation. This position collaborates closely with many cross-functional partners such as tech artists, content creators, data scientists, writers, and game engine programmers to streamline model deployment, optimize infrastructure, and deliver reliable, high-performance applications powered by modern cloud and AI technologies.

This is an on-site or hybrid role with 3 days a week in office. You will report to the Sr. Technology Lead in the Marketing Content Production Craft team. Benefits include health coverage with health care spending, retirement savings plan, gym access, free games, and plenty of additional perks!

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing user requirements and technical constraints to design and implement efficient machine learning application solutions on the cloud.

  • Leveraging and integrating AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Cognito, SAM, SSM, SageMaker, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.) and AI/ML tools to enable fast development and deployment of intelligent applications.

  • Delivering robust, scalable, and maintainable cloud-native applications using modern development frameworks, tools, and best practices.

  • Autonomously architecting and building end-to-end pipelines that handle data ingestion, model inference, and real-time API services.

  • Generating technical documentation.

  • Collaborating with partner teams in developing shared solutions across different EA domains.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience building cloud-native applications (web, API services, ML pipelines)

  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience using ML libraries and frameworks

  • Expertise with source control software like Perforce or Git

  • Experience developing on AWS using services such as Lambda, SAM, SSM, SageMaker, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.

  • Experience with AI tools for fast application development (coding agents, AWS, MCP, n8n…)

  • Experience with full-stack or backend development including RESTful APIs and infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
