Role Overview

Reporting to the Design Director, you are a AI Designer who will design & improve the player experience against and with enemy and NPC AI characters and vehicles. 

 

Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity help create gameplay experiences that engage and surprise players.
  
  
 

You will build upon and improve the core foundations of our AI. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary and international teams and work with every tool at hand to improve and iterate AI combat systems and encounters that'll thrill our players.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and refine AI systems and behaviors that deliver engaging combat experiences.
  • Partner with encounter, level, animation, and engineering teams to create believable and responsive AI.
  • Prototype, playtest, and iterate on AI features using player feedback and gameplay goals.
  • Improve existing AI systems while identifying opportunities for new gameplay features and technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain clear design documentation to support implementation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.


 
Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in game design, with a focus on game systems and AI design
  • Experience designing and implementing AI or gameplay systems for shipped games.
  • Experience using game scripting tools such as Blueprints, C#, Lua, or similar.
  • Experience with behavior trees or comparable AI frameworks.
  • Understanding of AI and NPC design principles, particularly for action or shooter games.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating technical design through clear documentation.
