You will report to our Lead Gameplay Animator, joining our Battlefield team.

 

Role Responsibilities :

  • Support the Gameplay Animation team in creating and polishing in-game character animations (locomotion, traversal, combat, interactions).
  • Assist with motion capture processing: cleaning data, retargeting, and preparing animations for in-engine use.
  • Help integrate animations into the game engine and test them in-game to ensure they behave correctly
  • Collaborate with Tech Animation, Design, and Engineering to resolve animation-related issues.
  • Assist with debugging animation issues and making iteration passes based on feedback.
  • Learn and follow the studio’s animation pipeline, tools, and workflows.

 

Qualifications / Skills :

  • Solid understanding of animation fundamentals (timing, weight, posing, motion).
  • Basic experience with 3D animation tools (Maya, MotionBuilder, Blender, or equivalent).
  • Interest in Gameplay Animation and real-time animation systems.
  • Curiosity and interest in motion capture workflows.
  • Willingness to learn the technical side of animation (integration, testing, debugging).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Passion for video games and interactive experiences.

We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 4-month internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
