Role Overview

Join our FC Gameplay team as an experienced Designer to help us create engaging and fun in-game experiences. Your blend of football knowledge, and an understanding of FC gameplay mechanics like (I.e. passing, shooting) are important. Your role will involve strategic decision-making, high-level direction, and collaboration.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop gameplay features from concept through to release.
  • Create gameplay features and experiences that are unique to game modes within FC
  • Communicate the game's design to the team.
  • Incorporate ideas and feedback from across the gameplay team.
  • Work with animation, art, audio, design, programming, and visual effects to develop your features.
  • Give concise and helpful feedback to help improve the game.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and design processes to improve how we work.
  • Represent the game in communications, including presentations and media interactions.
  • You will report to the Gameplay Lead Producer


Who You Are:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a game production, design or tech role.
  • Design credits on at least one title where you were responsible for a full gameplay feature.
  • Passion and knowledge of soccer and the EA SPORTS™ FC video game.
  • Technical proficiency in 3D game engines.
  • Broad, in-depth knowledge of game design.


Work Environment:

This role is based in our collaborative studio in Vancouver, Canada. You must be willing to relocate before starting.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $126,000 - $176,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
