Description & Requirements
Responsibilities
- Review existing solutions and evaluate possible adoptions
- Implement automated / assisted solutions for deterministic and repeatable activities (e.g. self-recovery)
- Implement automated / assisted solutions for monitoring and report generation (e.g. dashboard)
- Develop optimized workflows for day-to-day operations
- Document all solutions and workflows in accordance with established standards
- Conduct code review
- Manage endpoint farms (endpoints and environments)
- Debug and recover offline endpoints
- Install or remove endpoints
- Upgrade endpoint firmware
- Reimage PC, Mac
- Create or modify farm environments (e.g. build new racks)
- Install or remove PDU
o Able to do both development and support
o Has problem solving skills, is willing to learn
o Has documentation skills
o Able to travel to remote locations like a data center
o Hopefully intends to stay onboard for long period - Specific
o Familiar with programming languages: C#, Python, PowerShell
o Familiar with automation stacks: Jenkins, GitlabCI, etc.
o Basics for Windows, Unix-based OS (path, environment variables, commands available, process, system logs, services, etc.)
o Basics for package managers: choco, apt, yum, etc.
o Familiar with data stack: ELK, PowerBI, Splunk, etc.
o Familiarity with endpoint hardware (console, PC, Mac, mobile) is a plus
o Has experience managing and handling physical hardware
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
