Role

This artist role is the point of contact between the teams. You'll align the vision & goals with directors while also having direct creative input and planning in that collaboration. You'll oversee and follow the art team's work and quality specific to the 3D assets creation. You care about the quality consistency, performance, technical pioneering and team growth. You will report and work under the guidance of the world domain lead and senior artists.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist the Art Director in driving and maintaining the high visual quality of hardware assets,     inspiring and aligning with the project vision.

• Partner with AD and other departments to improve the work pipeline. R&Dart style, adapt new techniques, tools, and workflow.

• Detect potential risks in production and work with partners to come up with mitigation plans.

• Deliver feedback to internal and external teams to maintain art style understanding and quality for the Project.

• Product benchmark assets according to the art guidance provided.

• Good at realistic style weapons and vehicles production, and have a certain degree of understanding of modern military weapons and equipment.

• Good aesthetics and self-requirements

• Strong learning ability and driven to achieve.

• Strong work initiative, can actively explore and solve some problems.

• Good communication and strong understanding ability.

 

Required qualifications

• 5+ years experience in AAA game production as hardware(environment) lead or experienced artist.

• We expect excellent understanding of hard surface modeling, and texturing.

• Good at hard surface production, proficient in using related production software (MAYA, MAX, FUSION, etc.).

• Master a certain degree of knowledge about weapons and vehicles, and understand the working and structural principles of industrial design.

• Have a certain understanding of FPS game types.

• Expertise in PBR workflows. We expect you have a curiosity and desire to explore the new workflows in the industry.

• Ability to collaborate with others. Polish art quality with other art teams, able to complete optimization, implementation and debugging pass for the asset with TA team.

• Ability to provide precise and concise feedback by different forms: verbal, written, paint over and presentation.

• Mainstream game engine experience.
