We seek an IT Strategy & Partner Manager for Respawn Entertainment, the award-winning studio behind multi-platform games such as Apex Legends, Titanfall, and Star Wars Jedi. As the IT Leader, you will help ensure the Studio has the technology, knowledge, and services they need to create world-class games. Your role reports to the VP of Employee Technology and Customer Success |EA IT's Employee and Studio Experience (ESE), which is dedicated to providing the best tools and support for EA teams to perform at their highest potential.

As an IT leader for Respawn, you will guide business technology strategy, solution discovery, service and risk management, and relationship management with the Respawn studio and EA IT. Embracing diversity and inclusion, you will promote the development of great games through an open and collaborative work style.

As the Strategy & Partner Manager, you will guide strategies that align with our goals and foster innovation, scalability, and efficiency in game development. You will align the EA IT roadmap with our studio goals, driving strategic technology decisions and leading investment budget planning. You will ensure customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting needs, building relationships, and delivering IT services promptly. 

Responsibilities

Relationship Development and Management

Proactively serve as an advisor and partner between EA IT and Respawn development teams.

  • Partner with development teams to support the Studio’s technology goals and roadmaps

  • Advocate for and identify opportunities to integrate globally scalable tools, products, and services.

  • Serve as a conduit for development teams to learn about current and upcoming global IT tools, strategies, and roadmaps.

  • Advocate Studio IT products and services when partnering with development teams

  • Collaborate with all global IT pillars and service teams, such as Service Desk, Employee Experience, Game Creation, and Infrastr, to ensure Respawn's needsawn's needs are met.

  • Partner with IT and Respawn leadership to lead strategic technology decision

  • Develop long and short-term IT strategies for Respawn, ensuring an understanding of studio needs and global IT goals.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner between IT and Game Dev Stakeholders and work to prioritize needs based on understanding both dev and IT strategies and goals.

Technical Leadership

  • Drive Technology learning and usage within the department and studio

  • Educate Development Teams on global IT tools, strategies, and roadmaps

  • Facilitate strategic evaluations and architecture discussions for core studio technologies.

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in IT technology

  • Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team

  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and experience developing action plans to support these goals.


Qualifications

  • Requires ten or more years of experience in all aspects of IT in various leadership roles

  • Requires 3+ years of experience managing IT in a Game Development or Publishing role

  • Experienced in managing teams with excellent leadership skills, influencing stakeholders, and utilizing key soft skills. 

  • Proficient in working cross-functionally across organizations, managing by influence, and coordinating large-scale teams in multiple locations, time zones, and geographies.

  • Experience with game development pipelines

  • Experience with IT Security best practices

  • ITIL experience

  • Experience managing technical teams

  • Bachelor of Business or Computer Science degree or equivalent work experiencE


US Compensation And Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


Base Salary Ranges

    • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

      º $170,500 - $259,300 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
