Junior Software Engineer - Full Stack

We are excited to open a brand-new chapter on our journey with the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur EA FC Mobile Team which will become an important part of the global EA FC Mobile development team. Location & work model : Onsite in Kuala Lumpur

Report to: Lead Engineer

As a full stack web engineer in FC Mobile, you are expected to have experience in the web development industry. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working within a full scrum team that consist of designers, engineers, testers, product owner, and scrum master to develop features within the web ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Along with the other engineers, develop and maintain web systems to service the game

  • Understand performance implications and optimize both frontend and backend codes

  • Write unit and integration tests for the web systems

  • Actively participate in scrum ceremonies, always finding better ways of working with QV, design, and other members within the scrum team.

  • Assist the lead engineer in creating technical specifications and software architecture documents.

  • Communicate with superiors promptly about the progress and risks of the project.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelors degree in Computer science, Software engineering or equivalent course with minimum of 3.7 CGPA.
  • Fluency in English. Mandarin is a plus

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, experience with Typescript is a plus

  • Strong interest in playing games and game development

  • Familiarity with scrum ceremonies
