Overview

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our GenAI/ML team at FC Mobile, the creative force behind one of the world’s most celebrated game franchises. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Technical Director to prototype, integrate, and optimize cutting-edge generative AI and LLM-powered tools that accelerate content creation and enhance our game development pipelines. You’ll collaborate with designers, artists, and game development engineers on high-impact features, troubleshoot AI systems in production, and champion AI literacy across the studio. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prototype generative AI and LLM-powered solutions for both in-game gameplay innovations and content-creation tools, streamlining development workflows. .

  • Integrate AI-driven features into existing game engines using plugin architectures and scripting interfaces, enhancing workflows for designers and artists.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (game designers, artists, technical directors) to define requirements, iterate on tool designs, and ensure seamless adoption.

  • Evaluate third-party LLM services and generative AI APIs for integration feasibility, performance, cost, and security.

  • Develop and optimize inference pipelines to guarantee low-latency, high-throughput performance suitable for real-time and batch tooling.

  • Maintain and enhance internal SDKs and middleware to standardize generative AI interactions across multiple game projects.

  • Document AI tool usage guidelines, best practices, and conduct training sessions to promote AI literacy across R&D and production teams.

  • Monitor emerging generative AI trends and recommend adoption strategies to continuously improve game development processes.

  • Troubleshoot production issues in AI pipelines, including data pipeline errors, API failures, and inference anomalies.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Software development experience, ideally in game development or interactive media.

  • Solid skill in C++ or Python, with a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.

  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) and generative AI services into production applications.
  • Good collaboration skills with cross-disciplinary teams and strong communication abilities to convey AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
